Ordering food at home can be a fun experience-choosing your favourite dishes and enjoying them from the comfort of your home. However, the experience can be ruined immediately if your order does not meet your expectations, or worse, if there is a food safety or hygiene concern. Recently, a man ordered Chicken Biryani from Mehfil Biryani, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, and found “bugs in chicken pieces,” as shared in his complaint on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). Taking to his X handle, the man posted screenshots where a small insect can be seen on a chicken piece.

He also shared a screenshot of his complaint on the delivery platform Swiggy, where they replied, “We’re so sorry to hear that the order did not meet your expectations! The packaging of dishes is handled solely by the restaurant. However, since you are a valued customer of ours, we’d like to compensate you for your unsatisfactory experience. As a token of apology, we can offer you a refund of Rs 64.00 for the affected item.”

The customer wrote that Swiggy offered a “refund of Rs. 64 for a bill of Rs. 318”. See the full post here:
