Watch: Neena Gupta Shares Special And Simple Arbi 'Soup' Recipe

Neena Gupta seems to love sharing simple and delicious recipes on her Instagram page. The veteran actress often posts about food and cooking in her stories and feed. Along with teasers of scrumptious indulgences and wholesome meals, she posts videos about how to make easy dishes at home, usually featuring vegetables. One of her latest recipes is a soup-like delicacy made using arbi (colocasia or taro root). In the video, a woman from Mizoram is seen guiding Neena Gupta to create the dish.

She first cuts up the peeled and cleaned arbi into smaller pieces. Neena Gupta moves the camera to show us how tomatoes and garlic have been charred on the stove and kept ready to make the soup. Next, she tells us (the viewers) that the arbi has to be boiled and cooked for half an hour. Later, the charred ingredients have to be mashed together and added to the arbi and its broth. Add salt to taste and the soup is almost ready! Neena Gupta’s helper tells her that the broth has to be cooked for 5 more minutes and then a whole green chilli can be added. “Arbi soup from Mizoram,” reads the caption of the reel.
